Proof of Residency
ALL NEW STUDENTS must provide Proof of residency documentation as part of the registration process. ROISD defines current documentation as anything within the last 30 calendar days.
Effective September 22, 2020, parents/legal guardians wishing to enroll a new student(s) in Red Oak ISD must present two (2) Proofs of Residency aligning them in the Attendance Zone of the school where they are seeking enrollment:
- Proof of Residency #1
- Mortgage statement or current lease/rental agreement, OR
- Tax Appraisal Statement which is the most recent tax receipt indicating home ownership, OR
- Other timely documents that indicate the location of residence as approved by the campus principal
AND
- Proof of Residency #2
- Current water, electricity, or gas bill (no telephone bills) indicating the address and the parent/guardian's name (ROISD defines "current" as anything within the last 30 calendar days).
In addition, a legal contract to purchase or build a home within the District shall be accepted as proof of residency. The family has 90 days from the date of enrollment (1st day student attends school) until closing date. If the family does not meet the 90-day criteria, the student shall be withdrawn and/or shall enroll in residing district.
New enrollees will also need current immunization records, parent driver’s license or Texas ID card, and student proof of identity. The change will also apply to all current students when they complete the online registration for returning students next summer.
NOTE: In compliance with Policy FD (LOCAL), after a student's initial enrollment, the District shall verify residency through the annual registration forms and may investigate stated residency as necessary.
Visit Residency Requirements site for additional information.

School Zone Locator
The School Zone Locator tool allows Red Oak ISD residents to type in their physical address to see exactly what elementary they are residentially zoned to attend. The tool also allows you to zoom into a neighborhood and click on a specific lot to find the same information. If an address is entered outside of Red Oak ISD boundary lines, the system will not indicate a zoned campus.

New Student Enrollment
While the district does not have an open enrollment policy, there are clearly defined avenues for students to join our Hawk Family! Some are state-mandated and others are locally defined. Visit Methods of Enrollment for more information.
If you already have a child in Red Oak ISD, you can add them to your existing Family Access account. Please do not create a new one.
For students brand new to Red Oak ISD, they must live within the attendance boundaries and meet state age and health requirements. A student is required to attend school in the attendance zone in which the family resides.
