    Accountability Rating

The Texas Education Agency (TEA) released results of the latest version of State Accountability. In the new system, the state has determined it best to give a district an A-F letter grade. The TEA  A-F ratings are based on three factors, or "domains.” "Student achievement" and "school progress" combine for 70 percent of the rating, while "closing the gaps" makes up 30 percent. For more information on the new rating system, visit TEA website: A-F Accountability Resources.

According to this one-time measure, the state gave Red Oak ISD an accountability ranking of “Met Standard” and letter grade of B-86 Overall.  At this time, only districts will be given a letter grade. All Red Oak ISD campuses did receive a ranking of “Met Standard.” In addition, multiple campuses earned a total of 11 distinctions.

If you would like to learn more about the accountability system and view campus ratings please utilize the TEA Website-2018 Accountability Rating System.

In a letter to ROISD staff and parents, Red Oak ISD Superintendent Dr. Michael Goddard wrote, "'Not everything that counts can be counted and not everything that can be counted counts.' This quote speaks to the importance of seeing the student as a whole person and not just simply a test score. We are committed to continuing to do all we can to see each child succeed. A test score is only a small portion of that measure."
