Welcome to Red Oak Middle School

Red Oak Middle School consists of approximately 1500 students and 100+ dedicated professionals in the Spring of 2023. Red Oak Middle School students are provided opportunities to explore in depth topics in all five core subject areas: math, reading, English, social studies and science. Students are provided the opportunity to choose three extracurricular classes from course selections such as robotics, choir, athletics, band, fine arts and foreign language. Students are encouraged to participate in clubs and organizations such as HADDIT, National Junior Honor Society and Renaissance. Teachers and students collaborate to create a safe and productive experience each and every day. Teachers are available for parent conferences and tutorials as needed. Baylor Scott & White honors ROISD Teachers of the Year with an honorarium
Top elementary teacher Emily Bravenec and secondary teacher Dr. Cynthia Maye each received a $1,000 honorarium from Baylor Scott & White in appreciation of their outstanding service and dedication to the students of ROISD.

ROISD Bond (PASSED) and Board Results
The bond for a second middle school was approved in the May 6, 2023, election with 60% of the voters in favor. In addition, both John Anderson (Place 3) and Johnny Knight (Place 4) won their elections for the school board. The third spot (Place 5), will have a run-off election between Sean Kelly and Penny Story on June 10, 2023.

ROISD Board approves 2023-24 School Calendar
Amended May 30, 2023 - 2023-2024 School Year. The final calendar provides a focus on academic needs while meeting state-required Career Technical Education (CTE) minutes of instruction and the desire for additional breaks for students and staff throughout the school year.

Skyward Family Access - Strong passwords required
In order to increase security, ROISD will be requiring strong passwords for all Skyward Family Access accounts starting April 14, 2023.

Registration and enrollment for next year opens on April 18
Full-day Pre-K enrollment for the next school year (2023-2024) will be on a first-come, first-served basis when the online portal opens on Tuesday, April 18 at 6 p.m. Returning Student Registration opens the same day.

ROISD retains B rating by the state; Two elementary schools earn ‘A’s
Red Oak ISD retained a B rating from the Texas Education Agency for the 2021-22 school year.
