Director of Accounting

Education: Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from The University of Texas at Arlington.

Bio: Teresa Simpson has worked in various accounting roles for over 30 years.  She has worked in public education for 14 years in both the internal auditor capacity as well as in the business officer as an accountant. Prior to working in public education, she spent six years working for a public accounting firm as an external auditor specializing in governmental audits, including school districts.  Teresa’s primary audit responsibilities were schools, cities and nonprofits. 

Teresa is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the State of Texas. She is also a Registered Texas School Business Administrator (RTSBA), the highest level of certification offered by the Texas Association of School Business Officials (TASBO) and serves as a committee member with the Texas Skyward User Group.

She is married to her husband, Patrick, and has two grown sons: Nicholas and Alexander and a grandson, Hunter.  Teresa is an avid reader and loves to travel, especially to explore our great United States.
