Mrs. Melissa Sulak joins Red Oak ISD with 30 years in Texas public education, striving to make the best better at each step along the way. Her teaching career ranges from Pre-K to 8th grade, with focuses on early-childhood education and math instruction. She then transitioned to multiple campus and central office administrative positions, including leadership roles at Waxahachie, Venus, and Quanah ISDs and has served several North Texas districts as a consultant and coach specializing in continuous improvement with ESC Region 11.
Sulak earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Concordia Lutheran College and her Master’s Degree from the University of North Texas in Educational Administration.
In her free time, she enjoys skiing (snow and water), gardening, baking, and renovating houses with her husband, Mike. She is “mom” to nine Texas Longhorns, a Great Pyrenees named Tiny and a very spoiled rescue cat.
