    Regional Quarterfinals Lady Hawks vs Lancaster

    Lady Hawks win Area Round 81-43! 

    The Lady Hawks Basketball Team will play against Lancaster High School in the regional quaterfinals round of playoffs:

  • Bi-District Playoff Game

    Bi-District game Hawks vs West Mesquite

    The Hawks Boys Basketball Team will play against West Mesquite High School in the bi-district round of playoffs:

    Tuesday, February 25
    DeSoto High School
    7:30 PM.

  • Michael Quintero Head Football Coach Named

    The district proudly announces Michael Quintero as the new Red Oak High School Head Football Coach. 

    Coach Michael Quintero has been with Red Oak High School for the past two seasons as the Assistant Head Football Coach, also overseeing development of special teams and linebackers. He has 19 years of experience coaching Texas high school football including three years with Colleyville Heritage HS as Defensive Coordinator, nine years and two State Championships with Cedar Park HS, plus schools in Wichita Falls and Amarillo ISDs.

    Coach Q has been an integral part of the Hawks resurgence the past two years and strives to instill a solid work ethic, community service, and the value of teamwork into his players.

    Originally from Amarillo, Coach Q earned his Bachelor’s degree from West Texas A&M and holds teaching certificates in secondary physical education and English.

  • Head Football Coach Change

    Red Oak HS Head Football Coach Chris Ross has informed the district of his intention to accept a position with another district.  Pending that district’s Board approval, Red Oak ISD intends to offer current assistant coach Michael Quintero the new Red Oak HS Head Football Coach position.

    “We thank Coach Ross for his service to the Hawk Family over the past two years,” stated Athletics Director Chris Anderson. “We look forward to continuing the success of the program with our outstanding student-athletes and staff under the leadership of Coach Q. Consistency will be important as we go forward.”

    The Red Oak Hawk Football Team finished the 2019-20 season 11-2. They were undefeated district champions and advanced to the third round of the playoffs before a loss to eventual state champions Aledo HS.
