  • ROISD Announces New Head Coach for Boys Basketball

    Congratulations Head Coach Chris Davis

Coach Chris Davis has been promoted to the position Head Basketball Coach at Red Oak High School.  Coach Davis joined Red Oak ISD in 2018 as the varsity assistant girls basketball coach.  Coach Davis, while working with Head Coach Darren Eubanks, has helped guide the Lady Hawks Basketball program to three consecutive UIL Regional appearances and 14-5A District Championships in 2019, 2020, and 2021.

As a basketball player, Coach Davis was one of the most dynamic players in the University North Texas basketball history.  Coach Davis finished his career as the second all-time leading scorer in school history with 2,254 points.  In 2008, Coach Davis was selected for the University of North Texas Athletics Hall of Fame.  He was a three-time all-conference selection and the 1999-2000 Big West Freshman of the Year after scoring 21.7 points a game. He was the nation's 14th leading scorer that year and the second leading freshman scorer in the country.  As a junior, he turned in his best season at North Texas and became the first player in school history to lead the team in scoring, rebounding, and assists in the same season. That year Davis was a unanimous pick to the first-team all-conference selection and he was named to the second team District 9 squad by the National Association of Basketball Coaches. He scored 22.5 points a game that year and finished the season ranked No. 9 in the NCAA in scoring.

Coach Davis played professional basketball for ten seasons in France before beginning his career as a coach and teacher.  Coach Davis is married to Tamika Davis and they have three children Breanna, Ciarra, and Chris Jr.

  • Bleacher Creatures

Bleacher Creatures lead team onto the field!

The 2021 Red Oak Hawk football season is quickly approaching and it is time to find a new crop of Bleacher Creatures. The Bleacher Creatures is a youth group aimed at students in grades K-5. They will lead the Varsity Hawks through the tunnel onto the field at the beginning of each home game.

All Bleacher Creatures must purchase a new T-shirt for $10.00. This price includes the T-shirt and admission to all home football games, but it does not give them a seat in the center reserved sections. Bleacher Creatures need to find the Bleacher Creature coordinator at the north end of the field by the flag poles before each home game.

All Bleacher Creatures must complete the registration form before they can run thru the tunnel and on the field. Forms and shirts will be available at all home games from 6:15 – 7:15 PM by the home side ticket gate.

For more information, please download the Bleacher Creatures Registration form. Bring the form and payment to the home side entrance of the stadium to retrieve your shirt.
