Shana Owen is the Executive Director of Specialized Learning for Red Oak ISD.  She began her career as a special education teacher in 1997.  In 2011, she accepted a position as assistant principal at Navarro Elementary School in Corsicana ISD.   Ms. Owen became principal in Kerens ISD in 2014, where she also served as district testing coordinator and EMAT/textbook coordinator.  In June of 2020, she was offered the position of Director of Special Programs with Corsicana ISD where she remained until joining Red Oak ISD in 2023.

Ms. Owen has two grown daughters and one granddaughter. She also enjoys spending time with her boxer named Bingham.
