Employed by Don Shields, Superintendent of Red Oak ISD, in 1974 as a special education aide for Red Oak Elementary and H. A. Wooden Elementary. In 1976 I became the secretary at Wooden Elementary until Donald T. Shields Elementary was built and opened in December 1978. I was asked by the superintendent to move to the Administration Building and start the Personnel Department in 1985. Scary time but also a rewarding time. Semi-retired on December 19, 2002. I now work part-time in the Human Resources Department.

Grew up just outside of Waxahachie and graduated from Waxahachie High School in 1959. I have lived in Red Oak for over 50 years. I have 3 daughters and 1 son, 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. All of my children and 4 of my grandchildren graduated from Red Oak High School. I am so very blessed!
