DREAMS - ROISD Truancy Class
Red Oak ISD recognizes and values the importance of school attendance and looks forward to educating and supporting students and parents during this school year.
Red Oak ISD's online truancy class - DREAMS - is an information-based tool offered to the students and parents of Red Oak ISD as a truancy prevention measure (TPM). This class will be offered to students and parents once during each school year. Success on this quiz will require a score of 80 or higher. The quiz link is available at the end of the presentation.
Students and/or parents may be required to attend an in-person truancy class if this intervention fails to improve the students' attendance.
2024-2025 DREAMS class dates - TBD:
Failure to comply with any assigned Truancy Prevention Measures may result in a Contributing to Non-Attendance charge against the parent or a Truant Conduct charge against the student. An online class option is now available for Truancy Prevention Measures. Successful completion of a quiz by the student for grades 9-12, parent for grades 6-8, and parent for grades PK-5 will equal half (1/2) day of truant classroom time.
