Welcome to School and Family Services
Red Oak ISD strives to provide relevant programs and services to assist students and families academically, socially, and emotionally. The School and Family Services Department addresses and supports the academic, social, and emotional needs of students through campus and community-based initiatives. Connect with Kids Character Education Program
Red Oak ISD has launched a new website for Connect with Kids Character Education specifically for our Red Oak ISD students, staff, and families to address social and emotional learning. Social and emotional learning (SEL) is the process through which children and adults acquire and effectively apply the knowledge, attitudes, and skills necessary to understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions.
The platform allows the user to sign-up to view videos and interactive content on a variety of topics from health and wellness, bullying, and drug use prevention. It also has a video library of character traits such as integrity, respect, and gratitude. There is also a special section linked to Defining US that provides resources specific to social justice.
Individuals can create a user account to access ROISD content. Be sure to enter our specific organization code – 4Talons (case sensitive).
