ROHS Alumni Association selects Dr. Mark Stanfill as 2011 Distinguished Alumni
Dr. Mark Stanfill is a 1983 graduate of Red Oak High School and received a Bachelor of Science and a Doctorate of Veterinarian Medicine from Texas A & M University in 1993. He has owned and operated Animal Hospital of Ovilla since 1999. He and his wife, Karen, have two children who attended ROISD.
Dr. Stanfill has served on the ROISD School Board. He served on the ROISD Education Foundation Board for eight years and was one of the founding members. The Stanfills are Cornerstone Club members of this organization.
He received a Life Member award from the Red Oak ISD Council of PTA's in 2009. Dr. Stanfill served on the board of the Red Oak Youth Basketball Association, volunteered as a Top Dog of Watch DOGS program at Red Oak Junior High, was an Assistant Scoutmaster for Boy Scout Troop 524 in Ovilla and is on the board of directors for the Dallas County Veterinary Medical Association, where he served as secretary and is treasurer. Dr. Stanfill is a youth leader at Ovilla United Methodist Church, where he also led the restoration of their historic sanctuary.
