Dr. Diaz has been teaching since the 2013-2014 school year. He spent his first year teaching middle school at Life School, Waxahachie. In August 2014, Dr. Diaz began teaching at Coleman Middle School in Cedar Hill. He taught at Coleman for eight years. During the 2021-2022 school year, he taught at Golden Rule Charter at the middle school. Dr. Diaz began teaching at Red Oak Middle School in August 2022.

Dr. Diaz is a veteran of the US Army, and a graduate of Parker University, where he earned his BS in anatomy and his DC. Dr. Diaz has been married since April 1988. He and his wife have two daughters and a son.
