Hello,

This will be my third year teaching ELAR at ROMS and I'm excited to help my students grow their reading and writing! I graduated from the University of North Texas in 2015 with an emphasis in English, History, and Music.

Expect a lot of reading and writing in ELAR!

Throughout the year we will be building our reading/writing stamina so that we can be prepared for STAAR tests in the spring. I'm old-school, so I prefer reading from a physical book and writing with pen and paper, but we'll still need to do some things on the computer. 

As long as you show up and participate in my class you shouldn't have any problems passing, but you'll need to put in the extra effort to build up that stamina in order to succeed with STAAR testing.
