Calinda Wells has worked in Red Oak ISD as a school counselor since the Fall of 2006. She began her school counseling career as an elementary counselor in the Clark County School District in Las Vegas, Nevada. She worked as a 5th grade counselor at Schupmann Elementary School (formerly Red Oak Intermediate School). She later joined the Red Oak Middle School where she served as 7th/8th grade counselor and currently serves as the 6th grade counselor at the Sixth Grade Center.

Wells is a graduate of Prairie View A&M University where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. She worked in engineering for several years prior to acquiring training in school counseling. She received her Master's Degree in Educational Counseling from University Of Phoenix in 2003. Wells is currently a member of the Texas Counseling Association.

She and her husband, Samuel, have been married 27 years and have three children, Alexis, Caleah and Samuel II. The Wells are members of the Beckley Heights Church Of Christ.
