Lieutenant Colonel Jane Smalley was born in Houston, Texas. She has lived most of her life in Waxahachie, Texas. She graduated from Texas A&M University Texas in College Station, TX with a BS in Journalism in 2001. She has been teaching since 2006 in Red Oak. She currently teaches Civil Air Patrol, Photography I, and Photography II. She also currently serves as the Commander for the Red Oak Cadet Squadron.
