Mr. Jack Springer (LT USN Ret.)

Navy Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps

Senior Naval Science Instructor (2022 - Present)

Conference Period: 08:20 - 09:07 (Mon - Fri)

Hello, my name is Jack Springer and I am a retired Naval Officer who served for over 22 years as a member of the active US Naval service. Taking on the Senior Naval Science Instructor roll for the High School's Navy JROTC program in the fall of 2022, I am dedicated to inspiring our students to reach their highest potential through the elements of teamwork, dedication, competition, diligence, goal-setting and fun. I have a significant background of instruction and education administration from my time in the service.

During my time in the Navy, I served as an enlisted member for ten years in special operations, deep sea diving and hyperbaric medicine. I was highly operational in overseas activities from the West Coast of the United States, Hawaii, Japan, Korea, the Philippines, Malaysia, and many other locations across the Pacific Theatre.

A highlight of my Navy career was when I was meritoriously selected for a commissioning program in 2003 to finish my college education funded by the service. I completed my bachelors degree in 2006 and was commissioned as an Ensign working as a Trauma RN. As an officer, I sought out opportunities to be engaged in the development of the junior troops, taking on the rolls of Training Officer, Instructor and Education Director at my final command.

Retiring from active duty in the summer of 2016, I transitioned into the civilian sector and served as the Clinical Director for a Life Flight program and earned my stock broker's license to work as a financial advisor before accepting a position as a Navy JROTC Senior Naval Science Instructor in 2021 in South Texas.

My personal educational philosophy is to encourage students to strive for perfection and only settle for excellence.

When the will is strong and the team is strong, everything is easy!
