Mr. Tyron T. Shaw

Mr. Shaw is excited to be joining the Red Oak High School family! Before becoming a “Hawk”, his administrative career began in Lancaster ISD as an assistant principal in 2018. For over 20 years, Mr. Shaw has been blessed to have mentored, molded, challenged and celebrated students and professional educators. Having started his career as a music educator in Bakersfield, California, he transitioned to Texas in 2003. Since then, he has taught high school in Garland and DeSoto ISD. In 2012, he was named the Campus Teacher of the Year as well as the District’s Teacher of the Year for Duncanville ISD.
Mr. Shaw received his undergraduate degree from Southern Nazarene University in Music Education and his Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from the University of North Texas in 2014. He has completed 2 years of study towards his PhD. In Learning Technologies from UNT. He continues to travel all over the state of Texas working to support teachers and students as a clinician and adjudicator.
While striving to seek the best to those of whom he serves, Mr. Shaw continuously researches various methods of teaching through an eclectic search of solid and transparent communication techniques for performance improvement and advancement opportunities. He is a promoter of strong collaboration with other colleagues, professionals, parents, and community leaders. Through these partnerships, he believes that students are given the opportunity to wholeheartedly excel and live out the “4 Talons of the Hawk!
During his free time, Mr. Shaw loves giving back to the community by serving with his brothers in Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. He also loves bike riding, nature trails, singing and mostly spending time with his wife and 4-year old twins! GO HAWKS!!!
