Hi!

My name is Katherine McCoy and this is just a little bit about me.

I am the Mom of 2 young adults who both graduated from Red Oak High School. My daughter Kaylyn graduated in 2015 and went on to graduate from the University of Texas in May 2019. She is currently in PA school at Baylor College of Medicine to get her Masters and is soon to be married to my future son-in-law Jason. My son Franklin graduated 3 days after his sister in May 2019 and now works at Mars in Waco. . I also have a granpuppy whose name is Kynslee(she's my favorite, of course). We have lived in Red Oak since 2004 and have been involved with the community in many different ways. Raising my children in Red Oak has been the best decision. 

I have been with Red Oak ISD since October 2009. I started as a substitute teacher my first year and for the past 14 years I have been a special education paraprofessional. Of those 14 years, the last 11 have been at Red Oak High School in the FLA unit. In February 2024, I left the classroom to be one of the ROHS Attendance Clerks in the PIEMS Dept.

In 2016, I became the Special Needs Christmas Market Coordinator and the VIP Prom sponsor. The special needs market is our annual fundraiser for our VIP Prom that we host in the spring of every year.
