Ms. LaToya Harris

Greetings!  I'm LaToya Harris, the FOCUS teacher at ROHS!  I have been in the behavioral field for 17 years.  I started my journey at Dallas County Juvenile as a TA and over the past 17 years I have worked as a SPED para, Behavioral Para, Director of an Alternative Education Program, Lead Reentry Case Manager for the State Jail and Behavioral Therapist at an ABA clinic. I received both my degrees from the University of Arizona.  My Bachelor's degree is in Applied Behavioral Science and my Masters is in Education. I also hold a specialization in Family and Community Services.  Beyond my professional accomplishments, I have a passion for helping young people set goals and strive to achieve them.

I am from Dallas, but have resided in Red Oak since 2012. My son has attended ROISD since kinder starting at ROE, ROMS and now he's a senior, Class of 2025 here at ROHS! For the past year, I have served as the President of the basketball booster club. I am a fan of Dallas teams. Yes, that includes the COWBOYS, and, of course, the Mavericks.  My favorite color is green. I enjoy cooking, traveling, music, and painting.

My favorite quote is "I am... two of the most important words, for what you put behind them shapes your reality."  There is definitely power in the tongue.

My conference is M,T, Th, F 10:56-11:42

I've always been a Momma Hawk so I'm delighted to be part of the ROISD family!  LETS GO HAWKS!
