Counselor's Corner

  • Red Oak High School Counseling Department

Red Oak High School counselors do individual planning in the areas of educational, career, and personal-social development.  We do guidance curriculum in a variety of areas with all students, as well as provide responsive services, both prevention and intervention, to address immediate needs and concerns of students.  Some of the roles we play include counseling, consultation, program implementation and management, coordination, and assessment.

Mission Statement:  The mission of the Red Oak High School Counseling Department is to provide a comprehensive and developmental guidance program that addresses students' academic and college/career goals while supporting their personal and social needs.  This is accomplished through a partnership with parents/guardians, staff, and community members to enable all students to become well rounded, fair, and respectful citizens who will be successful and productive in a diverse and changing world.

Vision Statement:  The Red Oak High School Counseling Department will partner with ROISD parents/guardians, and community members to empower all students to reach their fullest potential by addressing academic, personal, social, and college/career goals.  Working with our partners, the High School Counseling Department will promote academic readiness and excellence while encouraging personal growth, integrity, resilience, and social responsibility.

We at the Red Oak High School Counseling office will be glad to help you with your student's academic and emotional needs. Please feel free to call us or e-mail with your questions and concerns or to set up an appointment.
