I love my family, teaching, history, reading, traveling, high school and college football, the Aggies, cats and chocolate.

This is my 7th year at Red Oak High School, and my 35th year teaching. I have previously taught at DeSoto High School, Alief Elsik High School, and Hicks High School in Louisiana. I have a BA in History from Texas A&M University and a Master's of Liberal Arts from SMU. 

My husband Chuck is an attorney and a retired Major General from the Texas Army National Guard who has been deployed to Kosovo, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Our son, Matt, is a 2017 ROHS graduate who has served in the US Army Infantry, trained as an EMT and firefighter, and is currently applying to paramedic training. Our daughter, Kat, is ROHS class of '21 and Texas A&M University School of Nursing Class of '24, and is an ICU nurse at UT Southwestern.
