My name is Taylor Meriwether and I am so very excited to be your student’s 2^nd grade teacher this year! I graduated with my bachelor’s degree from Texas State University- San Marcos in 2013. I have previously taught Pre-K and Kindergarten in Dallas and Arlington before joining Shields in 2023.

I have been married since 2010 to my high school sweetheart, who is also an educator in Red Oak. We have two sons in Red Oak ISD and we also have a dog and a cat.

When I am not in the classroom I can be found in the yard digging in the dirt. But my passion lies in the classroom, I love seeing our students grow and learn through the year, and I cannot wait to experience it with you!
