My name is Rachel Vanderburg, and this is my 12th year in education, with 9 of those being in the classroom. This is my fifth year at Shields, and my third year teaching Special Education in the Resource ELAR setting. I graduated from Howard Payne University in 2012, and am a 2009 Waxahachie High School graduate. I am so excited to be here and build relationships at Red Oak ISD!

My husband and I live in Waxahachie and we have four children, all of whom attend Red Oak ISD schools. Our family loves to spend time together by taking walks, going to the zoo, aquariums, museums, going to the driving range, and going camping. We have two dogs named Tribble and Maggie, and they keep us on our toes and laughing!
