Hello, my name is Felicia Burkhalter and I am very excited to be your child's 1st grade teacher.  This will be my second year teaching at Shields Elementary and I am looking forward to another great year!  I have taught 2nd grade for 5 years, and I'm excited to teach 1st grade this year.  I received my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies Degree from Texas A&M Commerce.  

I moved to Red Oak in 2011 along with my husband and youngest daughter, Brianna, who graduated in 2013 from Red Oak High School.  My husband and I are now empty nesters!  We have 4 daughters, 1 son, and 4 adorable grandchildren.
