My name is Rachel Anderson and I’m excited to be at Shields as a Dyslexia therapist. I’m passionate about partnering with parents and other educators to help students become successful readers, writers and learners for life. 

      When I’m not at school, I enjoy time with my husband and two boys on many adventures playing outdoors, playing games or just having a relaxing movie night at home. 

      My experience as a first and second grade teacher led me to pursue my Masters degree as a Reading Specialist at TWU.  Over my career I have also served as an instructional coach, reading interventionist, Licensed Dyslexia Therapist and Certified Academic Language Therapist.  I look forward to sharing the joy of reading with students and inspiring them to grow each day.
