I'm incredibly excited to begin my eighteenth year in education teaching in Kindergarten at Shields.  Our theme this year is "Joy in the Journey" and I am filled with joy to take this journey with you.  I truly have a passion for teaching and even during my childhood, I played the teacher role.  After a career in the corporate world, I fulfilled my passion for teaching. I am proud to call Shield's my home away from home.

My family moved to Red Oak when I was a child and  I am a graduate of Red Oak ISD.  I have a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from A & M Commerce.   I'm so blessed to have a supportive boyfriend and a wonderful son and daughter.  Most recently, I have a new grandson, Landon.  I also have three beautiful cats that look forward to seeing me at the end of the day. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, movies, and gardening.
