Hello and welcome to ECSE!!

 My name is Jana Franco. I am an optimistic, high energy teacher who loves to work with students. I am happily married with 2 beautiful daughters born in 2012 and 2013, and a --sweet little boy who was born in 2016. I moved from California to Texas in 2010 and I love living here. I am an avid reader and enjoy sharing my love of reading with my students.

 I graduated from Etiwanda, CA in 2003. I finished both my bachelors and masters degrees at University of La Verne in La Verne, CA. My Bachelor’s degree is in Liberal Studies and my Master’s degree is in Education.

 I feel privileged to work with special needs students and have worked in Special Education since moving to Texas. I was a long term Special Education substitute at Grapevine-Colleyville ISD for a year and a paraprofessional in a self-contained special needs middle school class at Grapevine-Colleyville ISD for a second year. My first role with Red Oak ISD was in PPCD at Wooden Elementary in 2012 and for the next 2 years I was given the wonderful opportunity to teach FLA at ROI. I taught in a TLC unit for a year and a half then had the pleasure of returning to ECSE (formally PPCD) in 2017.  

 I am thrilled to be teaching ECSE and look forward to a wonderful year with your student!
