Hello!  My Name is Donna Sutherland.  I am very excited about beginning a new year in Pre-K at Shields Elementary.  I am very passionate about early childhood and love what I do.  I have a B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies,  M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction, ESL, Sped, and GT certified and have completed the Texas Reading Academies.  I proudly call Shield's my home away from home!

I grew up in Ovilla and I am an alumni of Red Oak ISD.  My children-Tanner and Breanna, are also Red Oak ISD graduates.  My grandson is my life and I enjoy the time we can spend together.  I also enjoy family and friends, as well as gardening, going to the movies, traveling when possible, and shopping.  

This year will be an amazing time in your child's life where we will learn and grow together.  My goal is to provide a fun and engaging environment where children thrive and learn!
