WELCOME to the 2024 - 2025 School Year!

Greetings to my 2nd Grade Parents and Students,

            My name is Paula Norvell, and I am so delighted to be your/your child's teacher this year. Just to share a little bit about me: I am married with 5 wonderful children and 10 awesome grandchildren.  I love to spend time with family and friends and I love to learn about and visit new places. 

            Although this is my first year at Russell P. Schupmann Elementary School, I have over two decades of educational experience that is inclusive of 1st, 3rd and 5th grade. I obtained my bachelor's degree from Grambling State University in Grambling, LA and I have a masters' degree in Educational Administration from Concordia University - Texas. My educational philosophy is: education is a basic human right and I will work to ensure that every student successfully utilizes their right to obtain the skills necessary to be socially and academically ready for their future endeavors.
