Mrs. Evelyn Derrick
I am one of the 5th grade science & math teachers at RPS. I have over a decade of experience in education.
In science and math this year we will focus on critical thinking and backing up our thinking with evidence and reasoning. Our goal is to see our students grow overall as students and gain skills to reach their full potential.
I graduated from Duncanville High School in 2000 and the University of North Texas in May 2010. I earned my Bachelors of Science in Interdisciplinary studies and am certified in grades 4-8, Special education, and ESL.
My husband and I have 3 daughters. Our oldest attends Texas State University in San Marcos, while our other two are finishing high school in the next few years. We enjoy spending time together outdoors, fishing, camping, hiking, and playing with our 3 dogs.
