Hi!  Welcome to Kindergarten!!  This is going to be such a special year and I am excited to walk on this journey with you!  I am thrilled to teach my precious Kindergarten students and watch them grow and learn.  Once a student enters my classroom, he/she becomes a part of my Kindergarten family forever!!!  I have a Bachelor's degree from Hardin-Simmons University with a major in Interdisciplinary Studies.  My teaching certification is in EC-4 (Early Childhood through 4th grade) and I also am certified in ESL and Special Education (EC-4).  In addition, I am GT trained and find joy in helping my students succeed and grow.  Teaching students brings great joy to me and I am greatly blessed to be a part of the Wooden Elementary Kindergarten team.  My teaching career began in 2003 in Red Oak ISD, so I can truly say that Red Oak ISD holds a special place in my heart and it is truly home!  All of my teaching experience has been in Kindergarten and ECSE, so working with young students is truly my passion.  My husband and I are the proud and blessed parents of two sons.  In my free time, I love to read and spend time with my family.  Some of my favorites include tacos of any kind (breakfast, lunch or dinner favorite food!), pens, and books!
