Hello!

My name is Andrea Swords, and I am the reading support teacher at Wooden! I earned a Masters of Education in Reading from UT Tyler in 2019, and I earned a Masters of Education in Educational Technology and Library Science from Texas A&M Commerce in 2023. Before that, I studied Elementary Education at Southwestern Assemblies of God University. I most recently lived in Chicago, Illinois, but moved to this area for college. I fell in love with Red Oak ISD when I did my student teaching in first and second grades. I have been at Wooden Elementary since 2015. I spent my first four years here in first grade, then I moved to second grade for three years!

When I am not teaching, you will find me reading, doing a puzzle, or spending time with my dog, Hollis!

My conference times are 10:30-10:50 and 12:15-12:35 daily.
