To increase safety, Red Oak ISD is adding additional security measures at home football games, starting tonight with the 7 p.m. varsity game against Cedar Hill High School at Goodloe Stadium.

Clear bag policy continues to be in effect and now all guests will pass through metal detectors or be wanded before entering to purchase or show pre-purchased tickets or passes. Officers and security will also be at all gates to assist with wanding should a metal detector trigger a concern.

Metal detectors will be stationed at the main home gates and the visitor gate. We encourage fans to arrive early (gates open at 5:45 p.m.), leave any cloth bags and prohibited items in your car - bring a clear bag only, and follow the instructions of security and administration.

“We have increased seating options for our fans, require student IDs, added security measures for field access, and the use of metal detectors will further enhance the safety within the complex,” stated Superintendent Brenda Sanford. “We want our fans and guests to know we want our games to be an enjoyable experience in a safe environment. Having security measures and additional staff will add an additional layer to that safe environment.”

Parking and Entrances

• All visitors MUST park and enter on the east side of Goodloe Stadium, they will not be allowed to enter and walk around within the complex.
• Home fans will park and enter through the west side.
• Home Side Pass Gate (sidewalk gate north on main home ticket booths) is used for pre-purchased and to purchase reserved seating, ADA access, pre-credentialed media/scouts, and guests with employee or UIL passes ONLY.
  • Media will then check in at the field gate to acquire the required blue vest for field access.
• The home parking entrance will be one-way in ONLY until halftime, then be one-way out ONLY from after halftime until the stadium closes (except for first responders).
  • All student pick up takes place in front of the middle school.

ROISD Students

• Red Oak ISD secondary students must acquire a student wristband and purchase a ticket to enter the student section.
• Red Oak ISD secondary students without an ID will not be allowed into the game on either side.
• ONLY Red Oak ISD students will be allowed on the home side and in the student section. Students without a wristband in the student section will be asked to leave the complex.
• Elementary students must enter with their parents/guardians and sit with them for the duration of the game.
• Students who need a ride must be picked up at the front of the middle school; the stadium closes 30 minutes after the game ends.

Clear Bag Policy

• Small clear totes (12x12x6 max. size) or resealable gallon bags are allowed but are subject to search.
• Small wristlets or clutch purses are also allowed.
• No backpacks, large purses, diaper or duffle bags; medical bags will be searched.
• Camera bags are allowed only for authorized media at the media pass gate.

General Stadium Rules

• No re-entry.
• No firearms or weapons or fireworks.
• No alcohol, tobacco, or controlled substances.
• No outside food or drinks. (does not apply to fine arts groups performing)
• No pets except medical or guide dogs.
• Drones are prohibited by UIL.
