Donna Knight was elected to the Red Oak ISD School Board in 2022. Knight currently serves on the Board of Directors of Reach Council Drug Prevention and Cherished Impression Child Placing Agency.

Knight has received numerous awards during her 34-year tenure with Red Oak ISD as a staff member and for her volunteer work. Some of the awards include Volunteer Award for The Council of Drug and Alcohol Abuse, Community Champion from Region 3 Network of Prevention Providers, Red Oak Distinguished Alumni, and Region 10 ATPE Associate Educator of the Year.

Knight is a 1975 graduate of Red Oak High School. She and her husband, Johnny, have two children who are Red Oak High School graduates, and five grandchildren. When not serving the District, Donna and Johnny are active members of Ovilla Church of Christ.
