Doctor of Education Degree in Educational Administration
The Doctor of Education Degree in Educational Administration at Texas A&M-Commerce is one of the oldest and most prestigious in the state. As one of the first online Doctoral Programs in the state, we are proud to also be one of the best values in higher education. Our program is designed with the school practitioner in mind. Program admission is competitive in nature. The department gives priority to practicing administrators and applicants should have a Master’s degree in Educational Administration and/or a principal certification. We do not accept any outside hours toward our Doctoral Degree. We accept two cohorts each year into the Program.

Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership (Includes Principal Certification) 30 Hours
This degree is designed for the professional seeking an administrative position at the campus or central office level. It includes all courses needed to earn a master’s degree and be eligible to take the state certification exam. Information for Masters of Educational Administration including Principal Certification
Principal Certification Only Program – 21 Hours
This program is specially designed for the professional who already holds a master’s degree in any area and is seeking Principal Certification. This unique 21 hour program includes the state required practicum. You must hold a valid teaching certificate, one year of teaching experience, and a Master's degree to be eligible for application. Please note: All new graduate students who are currently employed by a school district are eligible for the Quick Start Grant.
