ROISD announces new high school principal

The Red Oak Independent School District is pleased to announce that Mr. Howard Gatewood has been selected as the new Red Oak High School Principal (effective date July 1st).  Mr. Gatewood currently serves as the Principal of Red Oak Middle School. He previously served as an assistant principal and special education teacher at Red Oak High School. 

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Columbia College and a Master’s Degree from Concordia University.  He is presently working on his doctorate at Concordia University. Before joining education, Mr. Gatewood was a Sergeant Major in the United States Marine Corps where he served proudly for 22 years.

The district will begin its search for a new leader for Red Oak Middle School.
