Over the past year, we have gathered input regarding the student dress code for Red Oak ISD and will be making several changes for the 2022-23 School Year.
While we know many changes will be appreciated by parents and students, please know the new Dress Code will be enforced and have stricter discipline assigned for violations beginning on day one.
For the safety of all students, staff, and visitors, we will be returning to required IDs worn and visible at all times on campus for students (and staff). In addition, we are changing our district bag policy both during school and at events.
ROISD Student Dress Menu – Major Changes:
Students may wear any color, pattern, stripes, etc. of tops or bottoms.
Clothing should fit the student – no sagging or tight clothing.
In general, no rips/tears, nothing offensive, no visible undergarments, nothing cropped, sleeveless, low-cut, or too short.
No hoodies allowed – not even on clothing; no caps, hats, head coverings, or sunglasses in school.
Clear backpacks are required for secondary students and preferred for elementary students.
