ROISD honors business partners through the TASB program

The support of local businesses and other community organizations is vitally important to Red Oak ISD, and public schools across Texas. Collaborative efforts between ISDs and community partners yield creative, exciting opportunities for students as they advance their learning. Partner assistance and their allegiance to public education efforts in the community speak volumes to the teachers, students, and community as a whole.

In 2014, the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB) launched a business engagement initiative to honor these partners, share information about collaborations, and encourage more businesses to become actively involved in supporting public education.

“We are grateful for the generosity of our local businesses and their commitment to help make a real difference for our students and the community,” said John Anderson, ROISD Board President. “Our students, parents, and teachers directly benefit from our partner businesses and organizations. We thank them for their support and look forward to a strong relationship for years to come.”

Partners will receive a recognition folder with a congratulatory letter, business decal and counter sign, certificate, and a lapel pin. Representatives are usually invited to the Board Meeting to receive our thanks in person. This year, the partners below were announced on September 21, 2020, at the School Board Meeting and packets will be mailed to them.
