(RED OAK, TX) — Red Oak ISD proudly celebrated student commitment to attendance on May 22 with its districtwide Perfect Attendance Awards and Check Presentation, recognizing 146 students who achieved perfect attendance for the school year. In total, $47,250 was distributed to qualifying students.
The incentive program, launched this year, contributed to significant districtwide improvement, with overall attendance rising to just under 95%—the highest rate since the 2018-19 school year. The initiative was funded through increased Average Daily Attendance (ADA), allowing the district to reinvest in student success.
Students were recognized with financial awards based on grade level:

Elementary: $100

Middle School: $250

High School: $500
Notable campus achievements include:

Red Oak High School: 67 students recognized, up from zero students last year

Red Oak Middle School: 28 students honored, the highest among middle schools

Wooden Elementary: 16 students recognized, leading all elementary campuses
The attendance incentive program encourages “Every Hawk, Every Day” by focusing on eliminating tardies, late arrivals, early dismissals, and absences. The initiative complements staff attendance incentives and campus-level goals, reinforcing the district’s commitment to improving educational outcomes through consistent attendance.
“It takes a partnership of home and school to instill the value of education, personal responsibility, and a lifelong love of learning that empowers students to thrive in every aspect of life,” stated ROISD Superintendent Brenda Sanford. “We thank our students, parents, and staff for supporting this initiative and congratulate our students on their perfect attendance achievement.”
This successful program marks another exciting step forward in supporting student achievement and engagement across Red Oak ISD.
