Red Oak HS students earn College Board Recognition
We are proud to announce that several students at Red Oak High School have received honors through the College Board National Recognition Program!
These students earned this prestigious academic award based on their GPA of B+ or higher and outstanding performance on the PSAT/NMSQT®, PSAT™ 10, and/or AP® Exams.
The College Board’s National Recognition Program is designed to shine a light on high-achieving students nationwide across all backgrounds. By claiming a National Recognition Program award(s), eligible students have a tangible way to stand out to colleges and celebrate their academic achievements with their communities. The program also serves as a valuable tool for higher education members seeking to connect with remarkable students across the country, including students from lesser-known high schools.
The 2025 National Recognition Program includes three award designations:
- First-Generation Recognition Award
- Rural and Small-Town Recognition Award
- School Recognition Award (new this year)
The School Recognition Award (introduced in 2025) celebrates students who have demonstrated academic excellence within their school community. To qualify, a student must score among the top 10% of their high school’s test takers on the PSAT/NMSQT or PSAT 10 and/or earn a 3+ on 2 or more distinct AP exams by the time of submission. The award recognizes students of all backgrounds and from schools across the country, helping higher education institutions connect with talented students nationwide.
The First-Generation Recognition Award celebrates students who score among the top 10% of test takers among first-generation college students in their state and/or earn a 3+ on 2 or more distinct AP exams by the time of submission.
