Public Notice of Intent to Apply for Federal Grant Funds

In accordance with United States Code (U.S.C.) Annotated, Title 20, Chapter 70, Subchapter VIII, Part C, Section 7846, and Public Law (P.L.) 114-95, Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), Section 8306, an entity planning to submit a federal grant application must afford a reasonable opportunity for public comment on the application before it is submitted.

Red Oak ISD hereby gives notice to the public that it will apply for the Federal Grants listed in the chart below for the 2026-2027 school year. The district plans to use these funds to support the intent and purpose of the grant guidelines and EDGAR requirements for each program.

  • Title I, A $748,700 Improving Basic Programs Provide supplemental instruction to meet the educational needs of students.
  • Title II, A $179,979 Preparing, Training, and Recruiting High-Quality Teachers and Principals Provide supplemental professional development for teachers, administrators, and staff.
  • Title III, ELA $96,009 English Language Acquisition, Language Enhancement, & Academic Achievement Act Provide supplemental staff development to support English Learners and their families.

  • Immigrant $8,002 English Language Acquisition, Language Enhancement, & Academic Achievement Act Provide supplemental instruction to meet the educational needs of immigrant students.
  • Title IV $55,473 Student Support and Academic Enrichment Transferred to Title III, ELA
  • Perkins V $55,473 Strengthening Career and Technical Education for the 21st Century Provide CTE testing services, training, and support for CTE programs.
