Red Oak Hawks Set to Join UIL Class 6A as New Era Begins

Red Oak ISD is proud to announce that Red Oak High School will officially compete in UIL Class 6A District 11 beginning with the 2026 to 2028 athletic seasons. The new alignment places the Hawks alongside several of the most competitive programs in Texas and marks a major milestone for the district.

District opponents will include Crowley High School, Dallas Skyline High School, Duncanville High School, Mansfield High School, Mansfield Lake Ridge High School, North Crowley High School, and Waxahachie High School. These matchups are expected to bring exciting, high‑intensity games across every sport and provide new opportunities for student‑athletes to shine.

The move comes at a time of growth and rising momentum for Hawk Athletics. All programs, including football, volleyball, basketball, soccer, track and field, baseball, softball, tennis, and powerlifting, are preparing for elevated competition and a larger statewide platform.

One major highlight of the upcoming season is the construction of a brand‑new, state‑of‑the‑art football stadium. Construction will take place during the 2026 football season, and Red Oak ISD will announce temporary home game locations as soon as schedules are finalized. The new stadium will serve as a long‑term investment in both athletics and the Red Oak community.

Red Oak ISD encourages fans to come out in full force as the Hawks begin this exciting new chapter. Strong community support has always been a driving force for Hawk Athletics, and the move to 6A offers even more opportunities for families, students, and alumni to show their pride.
