Welcome to my classroom!

I am so excited about being the 6th Grade Social Studies (Geography & World Cultures) teacher this year and I look forward to working alongside each one of my students.  This is my second year at Red Oak Middle School. Last year I was the 8th grade Social Studies teacher.  I am thankful and looking forward to another new beginning.  My educational background includes a Master of Divinity and Master in Pastoral Counseling degree from Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, a Masters in Pastoral Ministry from Masters International School of Divinity in Evansville, Indiana, and my Bachelor's from Radford University in Radford, Virginia. I am from the eastern part of the United States, where I grew up in Virginia and was born in Washington DC.  I believe every student has a story and the ability to learn, and I have been given the gift of being one of the student's teachers in their life. I am an active teacher and like to be around my students and get to know them where they are.
