Assistant Principal 6th Grade
Red Oak Middle School

15 Years of Service to Developing Scholars and Empowering Teachers as Leaders

I am excited to serve the ROMS family as the 6th grade assistant principal for the 2021 - 2022 school year. Most recently, I completed my 7th year as an assistant principal in the Dallas Independent School District. I previously worked in the Houston ISD as a high school science instructional coordinator and with Fort Bend ISD as a campus improvement-data specialist and Title I Coordinator. Beforehand, I co-piloted the first Pre-AP program at Greiner Middle School (Dallas ISD) and taught Pre-AP 7th and 8th grade science for 5 years.

My goal is to guide teachers to holistically grow students. I am passionate about improving student outcomes by focusing on equity, teacher quality, leadership capacity building, and the instructional collaborative process.

Outside of educational pursuits and work, I enjoy traveling, spending time with family and friends, singing jazz, reading (non-fiction), tennis (spectator), creating art, exploring interior design, photography, oceanography, architecture, and art museums.
