Hello! I am so excited to be returning to my first grade team this year. This is my 32nd year in teaching, having taught in Duncanville, Maypearl, Life School, and Waxahachie before joining this amazing campus three years ago. I truly love teaching our young students, which is why I graduated from Dallas Baptist University with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. I enjoy watching my students' "light bulbs" come on: from the struggling learner to the accelerated learner and everyone in between. I want this year to be one of new challenges, to have my students be okay with taking risks and making mistakes along the way while achieving far more than our students thought they could!

I have been married to my marvelous husband, Scott, for 33 years. We are a little crazy about the Golden State Warriors at our house as my husband works for them and is on the road most of the time during basketball season. I have four wonderful children and an amazing son-in-law and daughter-in-law as well. And in a month or so I will welcome my second grandchild! In my free time I love to watch basketball, take photographs, spend time with my family and friends, and do life with our church family at First Baptist Red Oak. I am blessed to be a teacher.
