Meet Your Teacher

Hi! My name is Austin Elkins and I am excited to be joining the Schupmann Elementary team for the 21/22 school year, teaching 5th grade Science and Social Studies! I am a native Texan, I received my Bachelors degree at Dallas Baptist University and I previously taught for Corsicana ISD in 5th grade for the last 3 years.

My wife Vanissa and I have 1 kid named Emma and we a currently living in Red Oak.

When I am not teaching, I enjoy watching and attending basketball and baseball games. I am a diehard Red Sox and Celtics fan. I also enjoying spending time with friends and family. It will be a team effort, and I am so happy we are on the same team!! I am excited about working with my students and families in the coming school year!
