Does your child feel the pressure of the world around them in a way that prevents them from wanting to interact with others on a larger scale (school, crowds, etc.)?
This is one of the most helpful resources I know for students and adults who have a difficult time living in a world of crowds and chaos. The word "sensitive" does not refer to a negative trait, but to a gift of extreme feeling that others do not understand. Not understanding this gift or knowing how to function in it can lead to isolation, depression, and anxiety. There is another book by the same author specifically for parents. The website is hsperson.com.

Enforcing Rules without a Fight
How does a parent assert the authority and decisions of a parent without having to fight a battle of wills? This is a book for counselors, but there is a parenting section in the back. The entire book is helpful to teach the foundations of free will, boundaries, and allowing consequences without the destructive relationship cycle of child/teen and adult tantrums.

Need Help Saying No or Enforcing Boundaries?
This is a great resource for parents who are struggling with saying "no" or for parents to read who have teenagers who struggle to say no to peers. This is an adult-level book not recommended for students without parent permission.
