New Faces of Red Oak ISD
While the core of campus administrators for Red Oak ISD are returning to their schools, we proudly announce a few new faces, and some faces in new places as we get ready for the first day of school – Monday, August 19, 2019.
New Campus Administration
Principal, Russell P. Schupmann Elementary School
Mrs. Ashley Jackson joined the Red Oak ISD team in 2018 as the assistant principal at Russell P. Schupmann Elementary. She previously served as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, and assistant principal in Dallas, Cedar Hill, and Lancaster ISD. She earned a Master’s Degree and a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of North Texas and is pursuing her doctorate from UNT.
Assistant Principal, Russell P. Schupmann Elementary School
Mr. Matt Northcutt has been an assistant principal in Duncanville ISD for the past seven years. He also served as the SSI Summer Principal and has been a member of the DISD Inspiring Leaders Academy and Region X Principal’s Leadership Academy. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership, both from Texas A&M University.
Assistant Principal, ROMS/6th Grade Center
Mrs. Jennifer Fortenberry has served as an instructional coach at Red Oak Middle School since 2014. Before that, she was a teacher at Red Oak, Keller and Sam Rayburn high schools. She holds both ELAR and ESL certifications for grades 8-12. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from St. Edwards University and her Master’s Degree from Lamar University.
Assistant Principal, Red Oak High School
Mr. Michael Parlington has been with Burleson ISD since 2004 as a science teacher for eight years and an assistant middle school principal for seven years and won the administrator of the year in 2013. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of North Texas and his Master’s Degree from Lamar University.
Associate Principal, ROMS/6th Grade Center
Mr. Rob Waller is moving up to the 6th Grade Center after serving as the principal at Schupmann Elementary for the past four years. Waller has hit the ground running by hosting Talon Camps for incoming 6th graders and their parents. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from York College and his Master’s Degree from Dallas Baptist University.
Assistant Principal, Red Oak Middle School
Mr. Troy Volkmann is moving over to Red Oak Middle School after serving as an assistant principal at the 6th Grade Center. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Stephen F. Austin and his Master’s Degree from Texas Woman’s University.
Central Office Administration
Executive Director of Secondary Learning
Mr. Scott Rogers was previously the principal at Rockport-Fulton High School and the 2018-2019 TASSP Principal of the Year for Region 2. Rogers, a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, graduated with his Master’s Degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio and his Bachelor’s Degree in History from Florida Atlantic University. He has completed his superintendent course of study at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
