I am excited to join the Hawk Family at Red Oak High School, following 15 years of service within the Burleson Independent School District. My career began as a Secondary Science Teacher, in which I taught for 8 years, before becoming an administrator and growing in that role over the last 7 years. I bring experience in Curriculum & Program Development, Facilities Management and Professional Learning Communities.
I grew up in DFW area and graduated from Mansfield High School. I received my undergraduate degree from University of North Texas in Kinesiology with a minor in Education. I earned my master’s degree in Educational Administration from Lamar University in 2009. Being a first generation college graduate I understand the importance of education and the role it can play in helping to open doors for your future.
I view a collaborative, nurturing school environment as the key to creating successful teachers and students. I believe that all students can learn, grow and succeed given the right set of conditions and support. It will be my responsibility to ensure students achieve academic success, help provide challenges of learning, teaching them how to be fair & respectful, and how to leave a legacy.
