Mrs. Karen J. Prachyl

Karen Prachyl sets high goals and aspirations to accomplish life’s dreams with enthusiasm. Her love for people has motivated her to promote positive experiences for all ages including adults.
After being a Domestic Engineer (stay at home mom) for 10 years, Karen returned to college and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Business Education from East Texas State University (1995). She was a Business Education Teacher for two years in Mesquite ISD and then began teaching Middle School in Ennis ISD until 2003.
Karen completed a Master’s of Science Degree with an emphasis in Learning Technology from Texas A & M-Commerce in 2003 where she demonstrated proficiencies in 11 Texas Technology Standards and received a Technology Applications Certification from the Texas Education Agency. Her strong desire to make positive influences led her to do a research thesis over “The need for Laughter in Education.”
Karen served as the PEIMS Coordinator in Ennis ISD for five years and then joined Red Oak ISD in 2008 as the Director of PEIMS. She establishes internal procedures and regulations to ensure the validity and integrity of student, staff and finance data and has a strong mastery of Texas Education Laws.
The most awesome people in her life beginning with God are her husband Paul, since 1980, her three children Adam, graduate of UTA Arlington (Teacher/Coach); Nathan, graduate of Texas Tech (Sales Executive); and Abby, graduate of Texas State (Speech Pathologist) and their spouses Misty, Andy and Melanie who are also educators.
Her pride and joy are her 5 grandchildren, Mason, Allie, Maddy, Macey and Brayden.
